Category: Yellow Tea
Key Features:
Origin: Produced in the mountainous region of Huoshan County, Anhui Province, where misty peaks and mineral-rich soil provide an ideal environment for yellow tea. This tea is traditionally made using the unique "menhuang" process—a special fermentation technique passed down through generations.
Aroma: A distinctive fusion of freshness and depth—retaining the crisp, clean notes of green tea while developing a richer, sweet notes and lightly fermented profile. Accented with toasted grain and crispy rice aroma, it offers a comforting and layered fragrance.
Appearance: Sturdy, robust leaves in hues of yellow-green, with a slightly coarse texture. Displays the classic "yellow leaves and yellow liquor" hallmark of traditional yellow tea craftsmanship.
Taste: Mild and smooth, with a light sweetness and mellow body. Offers a gentle nutty note, balanced by a soft umami undertone and a clean, lingering finish.
Brewing: Best brewed with 90–95°C (194–203°F) water. Suitable for Gaiwan or glass teaware. It can be infused around 6 times to enjoy its evolving character.
Huoshan Yellow Tea represents the elegance of traditional yellow tea craft—a tea both subtle and expressive, carrying the warmth of the soil and the quiet energy of mountain mist. Ideal for those seeking a gentle, grounding cup with historical depth.
